Buy Procaine Raw Powder online,Procaine is an anesthetic agent indicated for production of local or regional anesthesia, particularly for oral surgery. Procaine (like cocaine) has the advantage of constricting blood vessels which reduces bleeding, unlike other local anesthetics like lidocaine. Procaine is an ester anesthetic.
This product Ā is aĀ local anestheticĀ drug of theĀ amino esterĀ group. It is most commonly used inĀ dental proceduresĀ to numb the area around a tooth[1]Ā and is also used to reduce the pain ofĀ intramuscular injectionĀ ofĀ penicillin. Owing to the ubiquity of theĀ trade name
NovocainĀ (without the āeā in the original German patent) orĀ NovocaineĀ (with the āeā in the US patent), in some regions, procaine is referred toĀ genericallyĀ asĀ novocaine. It acts mainly as aĀ sodium channel blocker.[2]Ā Today, it is used therapeutically in some countries due to itsĀ sympatholytic,Ā anti-inflammatory,Ā perfusion-enhancing, andĀ mood-enhancingĀ effects.[3]
Procaine was first synthesized in 1905,[4]Ā shortly afterĀ amylocaine.[5]Ā It was created by the chemistĀ Alfred EinhornĀ who gave the chemical the trade name Novocain, from theĀ LatinĀ nov-Ā (meaning ānewā) andĀ -caine, a common ending forĀ alkaloidsĀ used as anesthetics. It was introduced into medical use by surgeonĀ Heinrich Braun.
Prior to the discovery ofĀ amylocaineĀ and procaine,Ā cocainaĀ was a commonly used local anesthetic.[6]Ā Einhorn wished his new discovery to be used for amputations, but for this surgeons preferredĀ general anesthesia. Dentists, however, found it very useful.[7]
What is procaine?
In the past, procaine was part of the composition of pharmaceutical formulations suitable for both parenteral and topical application. However, as of today,Ā commercially available procaine-based medicines are only for topical use (skin cream, ear drops, dental solution, and dental drops). These medicines are classified as over-the-counter (OTC), so, it is allowed the free sale in procaina cloridratopharmacies and parapharmacies.
In drugs containing procaine, procaine is normally present in the form of procaine hydrochloride and in some products is found in association with other active ingredients,
such as phenazone (with anti-inflammatory action), benzocaine (also with anesthetic action) and 8-oxyquinoline sulfate (with antiseptic properties).
Procaine action to reduce pain sensitivity
Procaine is a local anaesthetic. It acts primarily by inhibiting the entry of sodium into peripheral nerve cells,
thereby blocking the transmission of nerve impulses and causing loss of sensation in the skin and mucous membranes.
Itāsā metabolized in the plasma by the enzyme pseudocholinesterase through hydrolysis into para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which is then excreted by the kidneys into the urine. Like the other active ingredients with this kind of properties, procaine is able to accomplish its action by interacting with the voltage-dependent sodium channels present on the neuronal cell membrane of peripheral nerves.
Through this interaction, procaine inhibits the permeability of the cell membrane to sodium, blocking its entry into the nerve cell. As a result, nerve cell excitation and transmission of the pain stimulus is prevented. in addition, this agent increases electrical excitation threshold, reduces rate of rise of action potential and slows nerve impulse propagation thereby causing loss of sensation. The receptor site is thought to be located at the cytoplasmic (inner) portion of the sodium channel.Ā Procaine has also been shown to bind or antagonize the function of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors as well as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and the serotonin receptor-ion channel complex.
Pharmacology

The primary use for procaine is as an anaesthetic.
Aside from its use as a dental anesthetic, procaine is used less frequently today, since more effective (andĀ hypoallergenic) alternatives such asĀ lidocaineĀ (Xylocaine) exist. Like other local anesthetics (such asĀ mepivacaine, eĀ prilocaine),
procaine is a vasodilator, thus is often coadministered withĀ epinephrineĀ for the purpose ofĀ vasoconstriction. Vasoconstriction helps to reduce bleeding, increases the duration and quality of anesthesia, prevents the drug from reaching systemic circulation in large amounts, and overall reduces the amount of anesthetic required.[8]Ā As aĀ dental anesthesic, for example, more novocaine is needed for root canal treatment than for a simple filling.[1]Ā UnlikeĀ cocaina, a vasoconstrictor, procaine does not have theĀ euphoricĀ and addictive qualities that put it at risk for abuse.
Procaine is also aĀ DNA-demethylating agentĀ with growth-inhibitory effects in human cancer cells.[9]
Procaine, anĀ esterĀ anesthetic, is metabolized in theĀ plasmaĀ by the enzymeĀ pseudocholinesteraseĀ throughĀ hydrolysisĀ intoĀ para-amino benzoic acidĀ (PABA), which is then excreted by theĀ kidneysĀ into theĀ urine.
A 1% procaine injection has been recommended for the treatment of extravasation complications associated with venipuncture, steroids, and antibiotics. It has likewise been recommended for treatment of inadvertent intra-arterial injections (10Ā ml of 1% procaine), as it helps relieve pain and vascular spasm.
